Carrie Havey has been with The Green Engineer, since 2010 and has a background in urban planning and landscape architecture.  As a Principal at The Green Engineer, Carrie is responsible for working with development and design teams from the visioning stage through construction completion to make their projects more sustainable. She assists owners, architects, contractors, and consultants in navigating the LEED documentation and certification process. Carrie has managed the LEED certification process for a large variety of projects, including: higher education, K-12 schools, healthcare, performing arts, municipal buildings, residential and commercial interiors.

Carrie is part of the 2019 class of LEED Fellows and was one of the early adopters to receive her SITES AP credential.  Carrie is a founding member of the Massachusetts Chapter of the USGBC.  She served for many years on the USGBC Massachusetts Chapter board. Carrie is the chair of the USGBC’s Sustainable Sites Technical Advisory Group (SS TAG) and previously served for four years on the Location and Planning TAG. She is on the Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) Operations and Maintenance Technical Subcommittee and helped write the update to the CHPS Core Criteria v3.
