Sustainability Consultant II

April joined The Green Engineer in 2022 as a Sustainability Consultant. She specializes in guiding project teams through all phases of design and construction to help them achieve sustainability and occupant health goals. She facilitates certification documentation for many certification systems including LEED, NE-CHPS, and Fitwel. April also supports projects in meeting local sustainable design permitting requirements, such as Boston’s Article 37.

Her portfolio includes work on higher education, K-12 schools, commercial interiors, residential, and hospitality projects. She holds both a BS and MS in Civil Engineering from Tufts University, and her background includes experience in municipal planning, geotechnical engineering, and consulting for the U.S. Department of Energy.

Since joining The Green Engineer, April has continued to expand her technical skills, including conducting daylight analysis in DesignBuilder and evaluating thermal bridges in THERM.
