Recap: Addressing Sustainability through Architecture, Engineering, & Construction
On February 6, 2024, The Green Engineer hosted a student engagement session at Concord Middle School for 6th to 8th grade students. In response to the disproportionate representation of BIPOC and female professionals in the fields of architecture, engineering and construction (AEC), the event aimed to introduce BIPOC students to the several potential pathways leading into the AEC profession. Engaging the students with a planned integrated design activity was meant to showcase the wide range of roles involved in the development of a built project, with a particular focus on sustainability.
