Erica Downs, LEED AP BD+C, BPI Building Analyst Professional, WbLCA AP

Erica has twenty years’ experience in successfully navigating LEED projects to meet or exceed certification goals and joined The Green Engineer in 2018. She has earned the LEED-AP BD+C designation, as well as certification as a BPI Building Analyst Professional. Erica has experience with commercial and institutional projects of all sizes. She works closely with architects, contractors, and owners to develop a project’s sustainability goals and objectives, as well as strategies to keep the team on track to meet those goals.

Environmental science, chemistry, and hazardous waste site remediation make up Erica’s background, and she is passionate about toxic chemical use reduction as well as materials recycling and reuse. Erica has a Masters in Environmental & Civil Engineering: Hazardous Materials Management from Tufts University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science from Barnard College.
