Congratulations to the LEED v5 Committees on winning this year's USGBC’s Malcolm Lewis IMPACT! Award.
The Malcolm Lewis IMPACT! Award honors significant contributions to advancing green buildings and communities, celebrating volunteer efforts that drive meaningful change. The LEED v5 committees contributed thousands of hours volunteering in working groups to drive LEED v5 development from concept to reality. Their collective vision and world class expertise raised the bar for green building leadership, uniting proven best practices with innovative approaches that will shape the next era of impact.
The Green Engineer is honored to have been part of this effort, with Chris Schaffner serving on the Energy & Atmosphere Technical Advisory Group, Sarah Michelman serving on the Materials and Resources Technical Advisory Group, and Carrie Havey on the Sustainable Sites Technical Advisory Group. These committees play a vital role in developing, implementing, and revising the LEED rating systems to ensure they remain rigorous and market relevant. It's been a privilege to collaborate with such dedicated professionals committed to advancing sustainable building practices.
Congratulations to all the volunteers who made LEED v5 possible!
