Charitable Giving
As part our of mission, The Green Engineer donates a percentage of its net profits to charitable organizations that advance social and environmental equity, and work to protect our environment and to combat systemic racism.
Historically, The Green Engineer has annually donated roughly 5 percent of its net profits to approximately 25 charitable organizations that work to protect our environment.
In 2020, we modified our charitable giving criteria to also include organizations that work to advance social justice and social equity in our society. In 2021, we further revised our charitable giving selection process by condensing our giving to just three select organizations that met our environmental and social equity criteria, to allow us to donate a much larger amount to each organization, and thereby increase the impact of our charitable giving.
As a result, in 2021, we donated 15% of our net profits to three charitable organizations that work to protect our environment and to advance social equity & justice.
In 2022, we have continued to review our charitable giving to protect our environment and combat systemic racism.
