The Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) Building Energy Masters Series is a web-based professional development curriculum for the renewable energy and high performance building industries. Courses are taught by industry experts with extensive experience who take a deep dive into a single area of building science.
Taught by The Green Engineer's Chris Schaffner, P.E., LEED Fellow, this 8-week course is a comprehensive commercial energy modeling course to educate professionals on how to master eQuest, the free "Quick Energy Simulation Tool" developed by the U.S. Department of Energy and other industry leaders. The course is hands-on. Participants will learn to build and run energy models. It's going to be challenging, even for experienced professionals, but we promise a warm, welcoming environment in which to fail, practice, and master this valuable skill. When the course is over, you should be able to function as the go-to energy modeler on an integrated design team.
