Pier 4 Residences

Pier 4 is located along the Boston harbor in the Seaport District. Since the 1960s, the pier was the site of Anthony’s Pier 4 Restaurant, a culinary establishment renowned throughout Boston and across the US. Today,  Pier 4  is part of the City of Boston's Master Plan to redevelop the Seaport District -  coined "the Innovation District" by the late, former Mayor, Thomas Menino - into a thriving neighborhood to live, work, and play.

Tischman Speyer is developing two parcels at Pier 4 - a 13-story, 370,000 SF office building and a 177,000 SF luxury residential complex. Pier 4 will also include expansive public spaces, including a one-acre public park at the tip of the pier and the continuation of the Harbor Walk around the perimeter of the site. There will also be a public plaza between the neighboring Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) and the condominium building. Both lots will be built upon a combined two-level subterranean parking garage.

Designed by SHoP Architects in partnership with CBT Architects, the nine-story residential complex at Pier 4 will accommodate 106 luxury condominium units across 177,000 SF, as well as 17,000 SF of retail program at ground level, including approximately 6,800 SF of restaurant program.

The residences at Pier 4 are targeting LEED NC v2009 Gold certification. The residences are currently in construction.

The Green Engineer is currently providing sustainable design services on this project, including LEED project management and energy modeling services among other services.
