The Boston Public Library's Central Library Renovation Wins The 2017 Harleston Parker Medal.

The Central Library Renovation (Johnson Building Transformation) of the Boston Public Library has won the 2017 Harleston Parker Medal and the 2017 People's Choice Award last night at the Boston Society of Architects' 7th Annual Design Awards Gala.

Every year, a jury convened by the Boston Society of Architects/AIA (BSA) is asked to award the Harleston Parker Medal, which recognizes “the most beautiful piece of architecture, building, monument, or structure built in the metropolitan Boston area in the past 10 years.”  The BPL Central Library Renovation was 1 of 4 finalists to this year's Harleston Parker Medal.

The 2017 People's Choice Award is a recognition selected entirely by the general public.

The Green Engineer is proud to have contributed our services to this wonderful civic project in collaboration with William Rawn Associates Architects.
